Iya Ghana returns from Dubai and UK tours *set for another US tours

Ghana-born top Nigerian female Islamic gospel musician, Sheidat Basirat Ogunremi, popularly known as Iya’n’ Ghana, has returned from a playing tour of the United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates

Speaking with the talented Islamic gospel musician whose husband is into noble drinks business, described the tour as a huge success as her fans and Islamic faithful based in UK and Dubai received her warmly.

She disclosed that she performed at Prince And Princess Hall, London, Manchester and Nottingham before coming returning home.

Iya’n’ Ghana also hinted that Nasri-llahi-fathi, Manchester branch and NASFAT, Nottingham crowned her Umul Faisho and Amira Fisuarai, meaning Queen of Islamic gospel singers, respectively.

Meanwhile the mother of two girls is set for another tour, in the United States of America.

“My two trips to Dubai and UK were successful, and I thank God for that. Now my next tour will be US, but that will be in 2weeks time” disclosed Iya Ghana.

Hotel row: Hip-hop singer Zaydex beaten, hospitalized in Ilorin

A Pop singer Zaydex has been hospitalized in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital following severe beating from security personnel attached to the hotel where he had gone to relax alongside his cousins. The Pop singer known for his ‘Da tinkolo’ slogan according to information was rushed to a nearby hospital after a minor argument led to a fight between him and the hotel management. Zaydex, we gathered had visited the Princess Luxury and Suite located along Pipeline Road Ilorin  alongside his two cousins when argument over payment of drink led to a fight which left the music act bedridden for days. During a phone conversation, Zaydex explained how the incident which he believed should have been handled in the spirit of buyer/seller affair now generated a heat which eventually attracted police attention.

Narrating the story, Zaydex in his words said, “I went to the hotel with two of my cousins here in Ilorin. We bought the first set of drinks and I paid using my ATM card on the POS terminal provided by the hotel. When I ordered for another set of drinks, I went to the same POS to make the payment only to be stopped by one of the hotel workers. I asked why? And he told me that I could not go into the area carrying my cup of drink. I told him I was there earlier and at that time I went in with my glass cup and nobody challenged me. He insisted I dropped the glass which I did reluctantly. To my surprise, may be the guy did not like my reaction or something, he called the security guys and they started manhandling me. I was devastated and helpless. Other staff of the hotel joined in the beating and I was stabbed severally by them. It became a serious fight as my cousins intervened. The police later arrived and I had to be hospitalized first because of my injuries”.

Confirming the story, the Investigating Police Officer, IPO in charge of the case at the F division of the Nigerian Police Force, Tanke Ilorin, Corporal Kunle Ojo confirmed the incident, “It happened on Tuesday and our patrol team moved to the scene when the hotel management raised an alarm. Although, the hotel management denied beating the artiste, we have made arrest and the case is under investigation.” He told us on phone.

The hotel management was not reachable as at the time of press.  Ishaq Ololade Saeed better known as Zaydex is a Hiphop singer signed under I-class entertainment. He made waves with singles: ‘Jaye oloba’ and ‘Bi le n jo’ a track that featured rapper BlackPope.

Nollywood  ever green actress, Ndidi Obi  was last week ordained as a deaconess at the Immunation Assembly , Ajah, Lagos . The talented actress who came to the conscious of Nigerians with her scintillating performance in “Nneka The Pretty Serpent” in the early days of Nollywood in the 90s was full of joy after she was ordained. 

While speaking with Entertainment Echoes, she expressed her joy, “I felt very good and great. You know that means I have to start doing more like I have been doing before, I mean in being a good example “

When asked if she will now start choosing her roles, she resorted “Right from beginning I have not been acting roles that are not good. You know that yourself. What I am saying is that I will be more active in preaching and be a very good example”
